River Bends Drive is located on the east side of Ryan Road between 22 Mile and Auburn Roads

Located inside River Bends Park on the south side of River Bends Drive (old Woodall Road), Woodall Neighborhood Park is visited regularly by those living in the neighborhood as well as by other members of ours and neighboring communities. The area is appealing to not only those who enjoy sports, but also those interested in history, nature and wildlife, as there is an abundance of these in Woodall Park.

The features of Woodall Park include a 40’ x 30’ picnic shelter with restrooms, paved fitness trail approximately 1.6 miles), water in restrooms, barbecue grills, picnic tables, basketball courts, sledding hill when weather permits, 2 baseball diamonds, 2 soccer fields, roller/ice hockey rink, and dinosaur playscape

Woodall Skate Park

Located within Woodall Neighborhood Park, on River Bends Drive, east off Ryan Road, between 22 Mile & Auburn Roads.
Plans began with a discussion with several area youths and adults at a Parks & Recreation Committee meeting in October of 2001. The result is Woodall skate Park, where visitors can ride skateboards, BMX bikes, and in-line skates in a fenced in area complete with jumps, rails, and other apparatus. The park was officially opened on July 1, 2003 and has remained a popular locale for skating enthusiasts of all ages.
The Skate park is open from April 1 thru November 1 – weather permitting. Our rangers reserve the right to close the park due to inclement weather, reservation, or programming activities.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
OPEN APRIL 1 THRU NOVEMBER 1 – WEATHER PERMITTING. We reserve the right to close due to inclement weather, reservation, or programming activities. Skateboard & Inline Skating – Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays
Ages 10 & Under 10:00 – 11:30 am All Ages 11:30 am – 7:30 pm

BMX Bike onlyTuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays 10:00 am – 7:30 pm
No Skates or Skateboards on BMX Bike days!

The rules are pretty simple — keep safety in mind at all times, and skate at your own risk. Helmets are mandatory, other safety equipment such as guards and pads are recommended. In addition, no food or drink is allowed inside the fenced-in area, and smoking is not allowed in any areas of the skate park.
POSTED RULES:
1) Know your abilities — be safe!
2) Use of facilities is AT YOUR OWN RISK
3) Helmets MUST be worn at all times by those inside the fenced-in area
4) No food, or drink within the fenced area
5) No smoking in any areas of the Skate Park
6) No make-shift ramps or other items may be brought in and no modification of existing apparatus will be permitted
7) For your own safety, it is recommended that proper safety equipment be worn — knee and elbow pads, wrist supports, gloves, and proper shoes

RENT WOODALL SKATE PARK!
Ever thought of having a Skate Park Birthday Party? The Parks and Recreation Department rents Woodall Skate Park on an hourly basis to groups of up to 15 persons wearing proper safety gear and accompanied by responsible adults. The fee is just $40 per hour if the renter is a Shelby Township or Utica resident or $50 per hour for a non-resident. For available hours and dates please phone the PRM Department.
